Regine Velasquez sings Low Key with Universal Records

For a change, Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez tried to give her vocal chords a bit of relaxation (which I believe has been strained from too much belting or shouting) by releasing her very first album with Universal Records (UR) entitled Low Key. Yohoo! I can hear Regine’s tonsils celebrating.
Low Key was launched last November 14 at the 9th floor of Universal Tower in Quezon Avenue and Reg was quite excited for this welcome change. The rendition of the songs were of course mellow and more restrained - a change that Regine should have done a long time ago.
Regine’s Low Key features the following tracks / songs:
- Terri Gibbs - Tell Me That You Love Me
- Don McLean - And I Love You So
- Rita Cooldige -I’d Rather Leave While I’m In love
- Katie Irving - I Never Dreamed Someone Like You Could Love Someone Like Me
- Orsa Lia - No Walls, No Ceilings, No Floors
- Cat Stevens - How Can I Tell You
- Dennis Lambert - Of All the Things
- Dan Fogelberg - Longer
- Janis Japlin - At Seventeen
- Christopher Cross - Never Be the Same
- Beatles - Strawberry Fields Forever
The songs were quite good but haven’t we all gotten sick and tired of all these covers?
