Dahan-dahan Lang

Now that is shocking! I never ever thought that Jolina Magdangal would be chosen to do such a big thing. I mean, she is a singer but she isn’t really that great right? I’m sorry but I just have to be honest. But to put things in a different perspective, Paula Abdul isn’t that great either so I guess Jolens fits the part.

As it turned out, Jolina was only a second choice for the position. Someone else was about to take the role but somehow things didn’t go smoothly so Jolens had to accept the responsibility. And here’s what she said about the matter:

“Wala pong problema kung pang-ilang choice man ako. Ang mahalaga po, ako ang nakaupo ngayon as one of the judges. Saka hindi po ba ang ganda rin na after Ate Regine, ako naman ang napili nila?” reasons Jolina Magdangal about being the second choice to sit as one of the judges of Pinoy Idol.

About her detractors saying she is not fit to take on the task:

“Okay lang po, expected ko na ‘yon,” pagkikibit-balikat niya. “Kahit po ako ay na-surprise din nang sabihin sa akin ng GMA Network, that I will be one of the judges ng sikat na talent search mula sa Fremantle ng American Idol, kasama nina Kuya Ogie at Tito Wyngard. Hindi ko po kasi alam na na-consider ako at ipinadala nila ang resume ko sa Fremantle and I heard, ipina-approve din ito sa Fremantle sa London.

Kay Jolina rin namin nalaman na si Regine Velasquez pala ang first choice to be one of the judges ng Pinoy Idol. Pero ang busy schedule ng Asia’s Songbird ang reason kaya hindi siya natuloy. Hindi rin daw totoo na ang age ni Regine ang dahilan ng hindi pag-approve sa kanya ng Fremantle, tulad nang naisulat dahil wala namang age limit sa pagiging judge.
