Lobo ratings, panalo nationwide!
MASAYANG-MASAYA ang ABS-CBN sa ipinakikitang performance ni Angel Locsin sa Lobo. Malaki raw ang in-improve ng aktres in terms of acting. “Ngayon, pati mata niya, nakaaarte, ang laki talaga ng improvement,” say ng Star TV people.
Kaya naman, nakaplano na raw ang mga project ni Angel sa ABS-CBN at Star Cinema. “Sunud-sunod na ’yan, ang dami niyang gagawin dito because she deserves it. Angel is working so hard at nami-meet niya ang expectations namin,” say pa ng aming kausap. Tungkol sa mga detractor ni Angel, dedma na lang daw ang young actress sa sunud-sunod na namang bira sa kanya.
Somehow ay ini-expect na rin daw nilang lahat ang mga negatibong reaksyon sa first project sa Kapamilya Network ng aktres. May nais nga lang palang linawin ang Star TV hinggil sa issue ng ratings ng Lobo pilot episode.
“Kasi, ang pinalulutang nila lagi ay ang ratings sa Mega Manila . But ’yung ratings sa NUTAM (Nationwide Urban Television Audience Measurement), which is buong Pilipinas ang sakop, panalo ang Lobo ru’n. Pero, nababanggit ba nila? Siyempre, hindi,” paliwanag ng Star TV executive. Actually, ang staff pa raw ng GMA-7 ang nag-text sa kanila ng ratings ng NUTAM noong pilot since hindi na nga raw nagsu-subscribe ang ABS-CBN sa ratings.
“Nag-text sa amin ang isang source from GMA-7 at ang sabi niya, panalo na naman daw kami at nakalagay nga sa text niya ang ratings.” Base sa NUTAM data noong Lunes, nakakuha ng 36.5 percent ang Kung Fu Kids, 36.2 ang Lobo, 32 ang Palos at ang Marimar naman daw ay 28.1.

Maganda ang lobo noh. I watched Marimar before and in my opinion the story is becoming very boring. Pinapahaba nalang nila ang storya so nawawala na ang magandang story line na nakita natin sa original marimar. Angel and LOBO is way better compared to that of Marian and Marimar.
LOBO is “one of a kind” teleserye. Congrats to the scriptwriters, director & all the cast. Esp. to Piolo & Angel & ABS-CBN.
I am fully satisfied as a viewer. May depth, lesson at puso ang teleseryeng ito. Sana maging consistent lang ang flow ng story until the end unlike other soaps na “overstretched”..

GMA Network surge in nationwide ratings continues
Based on AGB Nielsen’s NUTAM survey dated February 24 to March 1, GMA Network maintained equal ranking with ABS-CBN in terms of total day people ratings. Both networks are tied at 7.9 percent.
GMA also trailed its rival network by a slim 0.7 percent in terms of total day household ratings. ABS-CBN posted a total day household rating of 17 percent while GMA posted 16.3.
Fifteen out of the top 30 programs were from GMA. The phenomenal hit Marimar ranked first in the list, while Joaquin Bordado and Kamandag occupied the second and third posts, respectively.
GMA shows remained the principal choices of viewers in Urban Luzon. Eighteen out of the top 30 programs in the said area were from GMA. Marimar, Joaquin Bordado, Kamandag and Bitoy’s Funniest Videos occupied the first four slots in the roster of best programs.
It prominence continued to cover the reach of North/Central Luzon area. Twenty of the top 30 over-all programs were produced by the Kapuso channel. The top 11 programs were from GMA. Marimar, Joaquin Bordado, Kamandag, Bitoy’s Funniest Videos and Mel & Joey were the top five programs.
The momentum in nationwide ratings clearly shifted starting from December of 2007. GMA’s strong ratings performance translated into higher revenues for the company.
The Network’s consolidated gross revenues reached P12 billion in 2007, nine percent higher than its P11 billion revenues the previous year.
GMA’s net income grew by 19 percent to P2.33 billion in 2007.
Based on unaudited figures, the Network’s current ratio is at 2.4. Return on Assets is at 19.5 percent while Return on Equity is at 27.2 percent.
Current assets grew by 27 percent from P5.65 billion in 2006 to P7.17 billion in 2007. Total assets increased by 17 percent to P11.97 billion, while stockholder’s equity went up by 24 percent to P8.56 billion.
Current liabilities increased slightly by five percent to P2.97 billion while total liabilities increased by only three percent to P3.4 billion.
Production costs increased only by two percent to P3.8 billion, while consolidated general and administrative expenses in 2007 amounted to P3 billion or 15 percent higher than the previous year.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) stood at P4.5 billion in 2007, 11 percent higher than the figures for the previous year.
The company also continues its facilities and signal improvement projects in the regions in its drive to gain supremacy in other parts of the country particularly in the south.
Apart from its regional expansion projects, GMA is also building two state-of-the-art studios within its compound in Quezon City.
GMA’s Marimar starring the tandem of Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes is the no. 1 primetime tv program nationwide for the whole month of February 2008 according to a report by AGB Nielsen’s NUTAM (Nationwide Urban Television Audience Measurement) research.
Another GMA show ruled the NUTAM weekend primetime last February and it’s no other than Michael V.’s Bitoy’s Funniest Videos.

kahit anu pa man ang sabihin ninyo, it is still a fact that the kapuso station is giving abs a good fight na before ay walang wala lang, 5 years ago, gma is not considered as a rival station so its is indeed a big development and a sign of viewers patronage na ngayon ay competitor na sila. abs maybe number 1 but gma improves its daily performance and lead their way to become the most viewed chanel nationwide. they have conquered the mega manila and the luzon area,,, they could conquer more of that kung mag papabaya ang abs. ang problema sa abs, hindi sila nagfofocus sa story line, ung mga researcher nangongopya ng storyline sa iba then opapalitan ng konti… eureka!!! bago ulit. un lang. at least man lang kung kukuha kayo ng idea ng iba,,, give an acknoledment for respect man lang and for the intellectual property rights diba. like game ka na ba na very orig then pinoy big brother na acknowledge and creator./ un na po

If you are a thinking and intelligent viewer, you need to watch most of the shows of ABS like LOBO, ABS gameshows,and even CURRENT AFFAIRS. If you want to watch cheap shows watch, KAKASA KA BA, KUNG AKO IKAW, KAMANDAG, BORDADO, ( I LIKE TO WATCH LEGEND). Al these fantaseryes of GMA are absolutely done by not-so intelligent people of course they need money especially most of the population in METRO MANILA who are very busy who needs not to think a lot. However, the only Fantaserye that I appreciated in GMA is ENCANTADIA

Story wise, Kudos to the writers of LOBO for coming up with such a good storyline. It is well-thought and not reminiscent of “bakya” soaps with the ‘api-apihan’ syndrome. since Encantadia, i had not watched any soap until LOBO came. I could say that LOBO so far, is the best Filipino series ever produced. The story is really good. The effects wonderful. Hope GMA would also come up with something new. Their primetime series seem to be following the same format and recycled stories.

At totoo nga na napakaganda ng LOBO, kakaiba ang kwento, may lalim at magagaling ang mga artist. Sa GMA? Ewan ko ba pero cheap talga. Sa acting? Grabe, walang panama sa mga KAPAMILYA stars. Hehe… Gogo KAPAMILYA…

This is my very first time na nahooked ako sa isang teleserye….. LOBO!!! never akong nag absent sa teleseryeng ito!! really GREAT!! ganda ng story. at naging big fan na ako ni angel locsin!!! sa mga daring episode ng lobo hindi naman laswa tingnan but……nakaka inlove….THE KISSING and THE BED SCENE..I hope madevelop si piolo sa yo angel!! I watched LOBO last nyt grabe it was so beautiful! the ending of LOBO was one of a kind…..and only ABS-CBN can do it….BIG PRODUCTION, ,Unique story and of course effective and talented cast especially Mama Angel and Papa Piolo…they look great together…look good together…Hope they will have more projects to come like what they did in LOBO MABUHAY ANG LOBO NUMBER 1 and the HIGHEST RATINGS EVERY ACHIEVED IN TELESERYE its all because of Angel and Piolo and the cast of Lobo and ABS-CBN Production…….I will miss LOBO in Primetime
