I know this is old news but then again I am going to post it here because I failed to do so last time. This Q&A video from Miss South Carolina Caitlin Upton, finalist of Miss Teen USA 2007, should never be missed.

Disaster! Anyway, Caitlin was allegedly overwhelmed by the question and didn’t really understand it fully. So the Today show gave her another chance to answer the question and this was her response:

Personally, my friends and I, we know exactly where the United States is on a map. I don’t know anyone else who doesn’t. If the statistics are correct, I believe there should be more emphasis on geography in our education so people will learn how to read maps better.

Applaue! Bravo! I wonder how many days she rehearsed those lines.
