ABS-CBN’s official statement about Wilyonaryo controversy
ABS-CBN is facing challenging times these days. What with the Wilyonaryo ’scam’ which happened last August 20 on the Wowowee, when number zero accidentally appeared in the wheel which is supposed to contain number 2, which corresponds to 2 million pesos. The people believed that they were fooled.
Here is the official statement of ABS-CBN:
“There was no cheating in the August 20 episode of ‘Wilyonaryo’, the new game portion in Wowowee.
“There are two parts in ‘Wilyonaryo’, the elimination and the final rounds. In the elimination round, the contestant won P37,000. In the final round, the contestant agreed to get the one hundred thousand pesos (P100,000) offered by Willie. This brought the contestant’s total winnings to one hundred thirty seven thousand pesos (P137,000).
“The revelation of where the P2 million jackpot prize happened after the contestant decided to get Willie’s offer. Since ‘Wilyonaryo’ is a new game, a mechanical glitch occurred in the reveal portion.
“Wowowee assures all its supporters that all games and contests in the program are executed with transparency, fairness, and honesty.
“Wowowee will continue to give cheer, help, and fulfillment of the dreams of millions of viewers around the world.”
A glitch huh? I hope they would make sure that everything works fine during the show. We are talking about big bucks here so we can’t afford to have mistakes like this.

Mechanical glitch? Saan? Duh. Kitang-kita na control ni Willie ang film so saan ang mechanical glitch doon.
Magsosorry ang ABSCBN sa pagkakamali pero itinatanggi pa rin na nandaya sila. Hmmmmm…parang nakita ko na ito somewhere ah, asan nga ba yon? Hello? Hello Garci? Hello Pappy?
Inexplain nyo sana bakit dalawa ang numbers sa Violet wheel mismo on the spot, yan tuloy naakusahan ng pandaraya at wag ng ilihis ang issue na kesyo hindi rin naman nakuha ng contestant ang jackpot, blah blah blah at tinira nyo pa si Joey, pathetic! Tama na po ang paghuhugas-kamay, hangad ng lahat ng Filipino dito sa bansa natin at abroad ay simpleng sagot lang…”Bakit dalawa ang numbers sa Violet Wheel?” Yon lang po at Pappy, paworkshop po kayo sa Star Circle para matuto kayong umiyak ng may luha.
