Mindanao Blog Awards 2007
I recently joined the Mindanao Blog Awards 2007. Yeah, in case you didn’t know, I come from Davao though this blog doesn’t really show much of that. This blog awards thingie is part of the activities to be conducted in the upcoming Mindanao Bloggers Summit which will be held in Davao City on October 27 if I am not mistaken.
Okay, so I signed up for the contest thinking that this blog might have a chance to be at least in the top 10 or top 20 of the Best Entertainment Blog category. Yeah, that’s sort of ambitious considering that there are a number of great Davao blogs out there in the same category. I just wanna try my luck though. Who knows?
But then again, Blogie once considered my blog to be semi-porn and did not accept me in the Davao blogroll. Well, most entertainment blogs are more daring and blunt than this. I am not sure if he even checked other entertainment blogs as well. Mine can even be considered ‘meek’ and ‘conservative’ considering the amount of trash other blogs have. I hope those who would become judges in this awards thingie can keep a more mature and open mind. We’re not kids anymore and if we want to be conservative then let’s remove the Entertainment blog category already. Entertainment blogs contain all the dirt that celebrities offer. This is already given. I hope people would understand that.
Well, I am not even sure if the moderators would accept this blog in their directory. I hope I won’t be receiving a mail saying that they are rejecting my blog because of the sexy images. Once they reject my blog, then bye bye to the awards. Hahaha! I might boycott the event when that happens. Hahaha! Bitter!
Anyway, I hope this first ever Mindanao Bloggers Summit would be successful. I salute those who organize this one including Blogie of course.
