Matt Damon - GQ August 2007 pictures
Though I have never seen any of Matt Damon’s Bourne movies yet, I know for a fact that Matt is such a great actor judging from his role in Good Will Hunting.
Now, Matt makes a comeback with his (I think) last Bourne movie - The Bourne Ultimatum. Not only that, Matt graces the cover of GQ’s August 2007 issue.
When asked about his and Ben Affleck’s first big paycheck after selling the script for Good Will Hunting, Matt said:
We both bought Jeep Grand Cherokees. It was funny, because Ben and I, we both always wanted a Jeep Grand Cherokee for some reason. That was the car. We always talked about it but never could afford one. So when we suddenly had the money, we each instantly started trying to convince each other to get a different car. We’d say, ‘Hey, have you seen the Explorer? The Ford Explorer is really cool.’ Because we knew it would just be so gay to get the same car.
On why not commenting on his personal life makes him a better actor, here’s what Matt has to say:
The better the actor, the less you know about his life. “I mean, nobody’s better than De Niro, and you don’t know anything about him, right?” Look at Meryl. We don’t know st about Meryl. Look at Clint. And Jack. And Brando. Marlon Brando—who f*ing knows, right?
