The Echo is a hollywood remake of the pinoy horror flick Sigaw which starred Richard Gutierrez, Iza Calzado and Angel Locsin. The film received rave reviews that hollywood producers were tempted to create a hollywood remake of it.

Jesse Bradford and some other girl will take the lead roles. Direk Yam Laranas, the original director of Sigaw, will also direct the hollywood film. Direck Yam was really hoping that Iza could play the same role, and that wish was granted as Iza officially gets the role for the hollywood version.

Despite her busy schedule, with Impostora and Desperadas about to take most of her time, GMA-7 allowed Iza to go to Canada to do The Echo. And Iza could never be happier.

Well, Iza deserves the break. She is one fine actress and she has managed to stay away from bad controversies since fame came to her doorstep. I can’t wait to see the movie and watch Iza create a name for herself in the international scene.
