Angel Locsin signed up with ABS-CBN?

IS this true? The loudest whisper at the ABS-CBN compound last Monday was the rumor that Angel Locsin, the prized GMA star, has reportedly signed up with ABS-CBN network. But even the people inside the network were unsure of this news. That’s why some people there were trying to get confirmation if this rumor was true.

Angel has been criticized for refusing to renew of her contract with GMA 7, the network responsible for making a big star out of her with projects like “Mulawin,” “Darna,” “Majika” and “Asian Treasures.”

Her manager, Becky Aguila, is said to be deadset on having Angel go freelance so as to give them the opportunity to work with other quarters (perhaps with ABS-CBN, the rival station of GMA7). While others see this move as rather improper (with some people already labeling Angel as ingrata, walang utang na loob), Becky sees this a chance to spread their wings and try their luck elsewhere.

We tried to get Becky’s reaction regarding this info through Angel’s publicist, Emy Abuan, but as we write this, we have yet to get Becky’s answer.
