Marian Rivera is Marimar

The hit telenovela of the 90’s, Marimar, is coming back to town. And this time, it’s gonna be a Pinoy remake, meaning we are actually going to do Marimar with a Pinoy cast. I mean, for what? Isn’t this era over already?

And speaking of the Filipino cast, Marimar is going to be played by the lovely Marianne Rivera. Thank goodness Angel Locsin didn’t get the role. Please, I abhor seeing Angel in another teleserye again. I know she’s beautiful and all but is she the only one capable of doing lead roles in GMA for goodness sake? Nakakasawa na.

Marimar, the Pinoy version, also stars Dingdong Dantes as Sergio, Richard Gomez as Sergio’s father, Renato and Mike Tan as Choy. A little bird told me that Michael V. is going to lend his voice for Folgoso. I think that’s cool. Bitoy can do anything you know. He can even play Folgoso and do the part seamlessly. I love Bitoy!
