Evan Almighty - most expensive comedy movie of all time?
Evan Almighty is surprisingly the most expensive comedy movie ever! Why? The special effects and having those real live animals on set, and all that jazz, turned the costs into a whopping $175 million! Meaning, add advertising and all those marketing gimmicks up and you will have about $250 million. Wow!
I just hope this Bruce Almighty sequel[?] will be able to cash in enough revenue to recover from this very costly endeavor. I saw the trailer and it was pretty interesting. I just got disturbed with Morgan Freeman playing God, that’s all. The producers are sure getting their knees prepared for all the prayers they have to make so that Steve Carell’s Evan Almighty will prove to be omnipotent in the box-office department.
